Maranatha Christian Church holds a seminar in Milwaukee for an evangelical group from the Democratic Republic of Congo
Classes included basic doctrines and revelations from the book of Song of Solomon. Pastors from Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, and Burundi were connected.
Maranatha Christian Church in North America held a two-day seminar for an evangelical group from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The event took place August 26th and 27th, 2023 in Milwaukee, the biggest city in the state of Wisconsin.
The group of about 25 people was mostly made of Congo War refugees who lived in Tanzania, but now reside in the United States. Classes were given in English and translated into Swahili.
The president of a theological college in Tanzania watched the seminar online together with a group in his country. Other pastors from Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, and Burundi were also connected. Brethren living in Chicago and Milwaukee also attended the event.
Basic doctrines
Pastors David Vieira and Donald Pelto taught basic doctrine classes including Pleading for the Blood of Jesus; The Church as the Body of Christ; Gifts of the Holy Spirit; Living Word and Word of Life; The Fourth Trumpet; and Revelations in the book of Song of Solomon to prepare the Faithful Church.
Traditional hymns in Swahili sung acapella, marked the praise period. After the classes, the pastors assisted and prayed for those who were present. Pastor Juma Mwilelo said that the congregation received a great blessing and showed interest in participating in future seminars with Maranatha Christian Church.
The Pleading for the Blood of Jesus and The Church as the Body of Christ classes touched him. “When you open the Bible, it all speaks and points to the Blood of Jesus Christ. And as the blood circulates in the human body, the Blood of Jesus, which is the Holy Spirit, circulates within the Church and connects us to be only one body,” highlighted Pastor Juma Mwilelo.
Readiness for Jesus’ return
According to Pastor David Vieira, the group greatly rejoiced with the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Word’s revelations and left decided and desiring to walk according to the direction of the Holy Spirit.
“There is a big Congo refugee community living in Milwaukee. Pastor Juma knows Maranatha Christian Church from Burundi and Tanzania. He wants to continue this relationship with us, with seminars and receiving the doctrine. Our prayer is that this group will grow and more christians can be ready for Jesus’ return”, added Pastor David Vieira.
Propagation of the Doctrine
Maranatha Christian Church of America’s President, Pastor Ronildo Scherrer explained that the diversity of peoples living in North America is allowing the propagation to many nations of the doctrine and the Work of the Holy Spirit.
“The United States and Canada are a bridge for the message of Jesus’s return and the revelations in the Word to reach countries in Africa, Europe, and Asia. The Lord is using the Work in North America and we are also assisting groups from Eastern Europe and Asia”, concluded Pastor Ronildo Scherrer.
This Milwaukee evangelical group from Congo will receive links to follow the Sunday Bible School studies and will be assisted online by Maranatha Church pastors in North America. A new seminar is expected in the following months.
MCC in North America will also include all assisted groups to join in the third edition of the Trumpets and Feasts event, on November 26, 2023.
